This season, Shephard Hills welcomes Ate O Ate Catering to take over restaurant and tavern operations. One of the area’s most popular catering companies, Ate O Ate is a perfect fit at Shephard Hills.

Based just a long tee shot from the course, the Ate O Ate crew serves up an appetizing, pub-style menu and beverages. Staffed by a dedicated crew of friendly faces, Ate O Ate provides a perfect complement to the family atmosphere at one of last independently owned course around.

That last fact is a testament to the Herculean efforts of owner Frank Adamiak whose passion for, and dedication to, Shepard Hills has been unwavering. Frank’s commitment to Shephard Hills perfectly illustrates the term “labor of love.” Golf course ownership is challenging, at best, and Frank has consistently made investments of funds and energy to ensure the viability of this truly historic gem.

Few hometown courses are as beloved as Shephard Hills. This is perfectly illustrated by the familiar faces who can always be found on these hallowed grounds. The course a favorite for players and, increasingly, local community members are assisting at the course.

This year, Matt Walker has taken on the role of overseeing Clubhouse Operations. Head Groundskeeper Jessie Grant and his crew are dedicated to improving and maintaining every aspect of the course. On the organizational end, another Roxbury native, Mike Hynes, is spearheading the Monday Men’s League. Rounding things out is the Ate O Ate team, which adds a bunch of new, friendly faces to the mix. Heading up the cooking team will be Cassie Grabowski, longtime owner

Whether you’re a golf enthusiast who has enjoyed the course for years, or just visiting and stopping by for a few rounds or a meal, you’re certain to experience a welcoming vibe from the staff at Shephard Hills and Ate O Ate.
